The Adventures of Pop Fantastic
The aim of the Pop Fantastic project is to create the world’s first series of children’s books which feature a child with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) as the main character.
This Kickstarter campaign will focus on the first book in the Pop Fantastic series, chronicling the adventures of Pop, a six-year old autistic boy, as he journeys into a magical world in which his autistic traits are turned into superpowers.
For example, in our world Pop has an almost photographic memory when it comes to his vast collection of story books - in our magical world this will serve to help him memorise complex magical spells and incantations others are unable to learn.
Also Pop’s ‘stimming’ whereby he flaps his arms so as to calm and relax himself, will see him able to fly higher and faster than any bird in the sky.
